Welcome to Roadexa. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of roadexa.com and any related services we operate (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing access, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Roadexa is an independent, online DMV knowledge-preparation platform. It offers practice tests across 150+ situational questions and visual explanations, designed to help you prepare for the written/road-knowledge portion of U.S. driver licence and learner permit exams. Roadexa supports all 50 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia and is available in 7 languages.

Roadexa is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any state Department of Motor Vehicles or government agency. We are an independent study tool. You remain responsible for taking and passing the official exam with your state DMV.

2. Free tier and paid lifetime access

• Free tier: 1 complimentary practice test, available without payment.
• Lifetime access: a one-time payment of $9.99 USD unlocks unlimited access to all 150+ questions, all mock tests, all 50 states, and all 7 languages for the lifetime of the account, with no recurring charges.

Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales taxes (where required) are added at checkout. Roadexa reserves the right to adjust pricing for new customers at any time; existing lifetime-access accounts are unaffected.

3. Payment processing

All payments are processed by our payment partner, Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. Roadexa does not receive or store your full card details — see our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Refund policy

All sales are final. Because Roadexa's lifetime access is digital content that is delivered immediately upon successful payment, we do not offer refunds once the account has been activated. We strongly encourage you to use the free tier (one complimentary practice test) to confirm that Roadexa is right for you before purchasing.

If you believe you were charged in error — for example, a duplicate transaction or a failed delivery of access — email admin@roadexa.com within 30 days with your transaction ID and we will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a refund.

5. Accounts

• You must provide an accurate email address when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity on your account.
• One account per person. Sharing an account across multiple people is prohibited. For security, Roadexa enforces a maximum of 2 active sessions per account; a 3rd login automatically signs out the oldest device.
• We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, with or without notice.

6. Acceptable use of content

All Roadexa content — questions, explanations, AI-generated visuals, translations, and design — is the property of Roadexa or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. You agree:

• Content is for your personal, non-commercial use only.
• You may not copy, scrape, republish, redistribute, resell, or use Roadexa content to train AI/ML models without our prior written permission.
• You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our question database, image sets, or source code.
• You may not circumvent the free-tier limits, the paywall, the session cap, or any other technical measure.

7. AI-generated visuals

Each practice question includes a visual scenario generated by AI for illustrative purposes. These visuals are study aids, not photographs of real-world events, and may contain minor inaccuracies. The textual question and correct answer remain authoritative; if a visual and the question text disagree, the text is correct.

8. No exam guarantee

Roadexa is a study tool. We work hard to mirror the topics and difficulty of official state DMV exams, but we cannot and do not guarantee that practicing on Roadexa will result in passing your real exam. Passing your DMV exam depends on factors we cannot control, including your study effort, state-specific rules updated after our most recent content review, and exam-day conditions.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roadexa and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid Roadexa in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD $9.99 if you have not made a payment.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roadexa, its operators, contractors, and affiliates from any claim or demand (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the change is material, we will also notify signed-in users by email. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Roadexa is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
